After 21 months stopped working!

Wonderful tv until it stopped working just after 21 months of owning it. I was watching the tv and it just went dark and then to a white screen. I heard an electrical crackling sound inside. Picture tried to clear up one time but went back to complete white screen. Very loyal to the samsung brand and have always had quality devices but this was very disappointing.

TV died after a year...

TV died after 1.5 years...I went to turn it on one day and TV would just turn on and off repeatedly. Might be a capacitor issue, but I checked with a repair man and capacitors were fine. Might be the power board, but most likely impossible to replace the parts as you can't obtain them easily. Very disappointed with how long this tv lasted...

POOR SAMSUNG SUPPORT

The $700.00 TV arrived on Dec 14th. It was a Christmas present for my wife. I didn't want her to see it till Christmas Day, so I didn't open the package and try the TV. I gave it to her on Dec 25th, but because it was so heavy, I didn't take it out of the box till the next day, Dec. 26th, when my son was expected home on leave from the Army and he could help me mount it. We got it out and turned it on and there was nothing but jibberish. That's when we discovered that the TV screen was cracked during shipping. I called Samsung but they refused to exchange it cause I called 7 hours too late for them to cover the warranty. I jumped through hoops trying to get their corporate headquarters to help....all to no avail. They pretty much told me to live with it that there was nothing they were going to do about it.

Adequate, not the most user friendly

Bought this Samsung TV about early 2018 after having purchased not one but two TCL ROKU HDR Smart TV's. To my surprise the TCL's are a better picture and much more user friendly. The only reason for purchasing the Samsung was for the web browser which TCL requires you to rent and which is not good. And although Samsung has the higher quality speakers I still upgraded with a sound bar. If you don't need a good web browser but want the apps go with the ROKU TCL's. The TCL's have a better picture, are user friendly, and a better price.

Bought this tv to upgrade from our 10 year old 48" Samsung that is still going strong. Picture is a terrific upgrade from the 1080p. This tv has decent sound but planning tho get a soundbar that will integrate music and tv sound so we can get rid of the current amp that we use. Had no issues with setup and it was easy to wall mount since it's very light. Most important to us was the price and great value for such a nice upgrade. So far I'd say we did really well choosing this tv!

This product 'broke/failed' very quickly

Had the TV (installed by the Geek Squad) for less than 4 weeks when the power board failed while I was playing a Blu-ray disc. Had to go through a massive effort to get warranty support to my residence to take the TV down from the wall, open it up, replace the power board, and re-mount the TV to the wall. So far an extremely unreliable product.

Lightweight Gem

I was expecting this tv to be heavy because of the size, but pleasantly surprised that it isn't too heavy at all. I lifted and placed it myself after setting it up. In fact, my 53 inch tv is heavier than this. I also like the fact that the tv doesn't emit heat unlike my 53 inch Samsung.

Not great for Sports

I've tried adjusting picture settings and can't seem to get rid of blotchy images that show up during sports broadcasts when the screen is panned during gameplay. Happens in both basketball and football broadcasts that I have watch. The image is degraded the further the camera pans away. When zoomed in, the image is fine. Can't seem to figure out how to fix this. As it is, it's as if I went back 15 years in image quality watching sports on this TV. I have another brand 4K TV in the bedroom and it doesn't show the same symptoms. Too bad as I really like the 58" form factor and everything else about the TV.

Purchased two weeks ago this 4K UHD resolution TV is one of the best in my opinion. For its price point and available options you simply can't go wrong. Setup, configuration and connections were easy. Three HDMI and one digital sound connection easily offer and connect yoi to your wifi speakers and subwoofer. Digital sound is absolutely the best.

The only thing that I didn't like is that it goes to the source screen every time that we turn it on. This possibly could be a setting, but not something I figured out yet.

I'm glad we bought this TV. The picture quality is great. Did have issues having the WiFi network to stay connected but worked it out. Previous TV was also a Samsung but a 3D TV, I prefer this newer one. I'm very happy with it. Very easy to connect to the apps and all other wonderful features. Highly recommend this TV.

Ultra 4K at astonishing price

We purchased this 58" TV from Frys in Webster. Took it home and set it up. Just followed the directions and left the factory default settings as they were. It worked just fine and we could not believe how much better the picture was than our older 1080P set that we replaced. The TV stand leaves a lot to be desired and the sound is not the best. We may get a sound bar later but we do not have kids anymore so the poorly designed stand will work and every thing else about the set is above our expectations. The wireless feature was automatic if you followed the instructions. Our existing remote from ATT/Direct TV is compatible and we only use one remote to operate it. I really like the size of the screen and it is more square than like the wide screens. So glad we found this great Samsung TV. We gave the design 4 stars because of the stand.

"Smart TV" Woes Dampen Otherwise Positive Experience

I have had several Samsung TVs. As with others, the picture quality on this model is excellent, and navigating the settings is intuitive. As a negative, I am frustrated by the "Smart TV" experience. The TV does not hold network settings after powering off, and despite communicating with Samsung support, I cannot fix the issue. (My perusal of several internet boards shows that I am not alone in having the problem). This issue prevents me from giving a top rating. The price point reflects the Smart TV feature, and it really should work properly.
