I have had my LG LRGL5823S gas range for 3.5 years now and while I have no complaints about the burner or oven functionality I am highly disappointed with the control panel. More and more of the LED display is disappearing / stopped working making it now virtually impossible to tell the time or decipher any other information on the display. In addition some of the control buttons work perfect with a soft touch while others have to be pressed very hard to function. I reported that issue almost immediately after the purchase. The panel was replaced with a new one that unfortunately had the same problem. I was told thats just the way it is. Whats most disturbing to me is that the display malfunction is a known issue particularly in the event of a power surge as I was advised to purchase a warranty just for that. Now that seems a bit ridiculous. I do not know if my panel malfunction was caused by a power surge or not. Nevertheless I expected better quality from than that from an LG appliance.

Terrible Delivery and Installation Experience

We ordered a stovetop from LG and added delivery installation and pickup of the old stovetop. The company they use RXO was a complete failure. We were given an initial date and time window for installation. A few hours into the window wed heard nothing. We called to discover that they were not coming. We were rescheduled to two days later. On that day RXO delivered the stovetop but the crew did not do any installation - they just left the giant stovetop on our kichen floor. We called LG multiple times to report this issue and try to schedule installation. We also used the chat feature. Days later the stovetop is still on our kitchen floor. We were finally able to cancel the whole installation and instead scheduled with Best Buy. In looking online RXO has soooo many terrible reviews and issues. Even if they ever decided to show up we were scared to trust them to install the stove - especially dealing with gas. The fact that LG keeps using them is terrible. I would never purchase anything direct from LG again.

I bought this oven at Home Depot beware. It had a leak in burner. Home Depot told me I had to contact lg they dont have anyone to service the lg oven. Well I called lg two hours being from passed from one person to another. All in all they gave me claims number to get it fixed but have to wait until they find someone They dont have lg repairman in las cruces. I live 75 miles away. Where ever you live make sure you buy someone that services equipment. I will never buy from Home Depot again

Do Not Purchase - Ever

Bought gas range in March 2024 it broke by October 2024 under warranty several attempts by LG to fix was unsuccessful and its now April 7 2025 and stove is dead all repair companies told us its unrepairable LG tells us the repair companies say there is nothing wrong with the range and wont do anything but send me from one department to the other support in-warranty presidential liaison repair back to liaison and now I am currently on the phone trying to reach refund dept. but apparently they dont have one of those departments. I have just been informed by LG customer service that if I want the oven gone I can have either the city or home depot come and get the range so I said you mean to tell me I paid for the range it broke you cant fix it and now I have no working range and youre not going to refund my money or pay to have it removed and her response was yes cause its out of warranty even though they have told me over and over that they will extend the warranty as long as the problem lasts I argued and shes transferred me and now I have been transferred to two different people they wont return it either and now has transferred me back to the warranty department even though they just said it was out of warranty this is 4 people in 32:44 minutes. Forty minutes in and they are trying to get me off the phone with promises that they will call me back which they have said before and never will so I refused and she is now messing around with my repair status and has me on hold 54 minutes on the phone. I was on the phone with them for over an hour and spoke with 4 different people and one supervisor and they will not refund it or pay to have it removed from my home all they keep telling me is the same stuff they have been telling me for 6 month I finally said if I hang up the phone without a refund or pick up scheduled then you are admitting you wont refund the money or pay to remove it and she still just kept repeating about expediting so I finally hung up with my question answered. They will take your money and you will be left with a defective product and no hope. Buyer be warned.

A local repair business fixed mine after I got fed up with useless LG support who would only give me one weekday time slot for an appointment. The repair person also fixed the buttons so that they are much less finicky and easier to press than the original control panel. I dont know exactly what the repair person did but it involved soldering. Given the sheer number of complaints about this one issue I dont know how LG has avoided a class action lawsuit. They clearly sold a bunch of defective appliances. Also the griddle is ridiculous. I dont know what the material is but it is not cast iron. I only use it as a surface for rivet setting. Thats about the only thing its good for not for cooking.

The reviews showing the display goes out right away are troubling. They ask you not to leave customer service feedback here yet when you try to contact customer service they dont respond to emails and they put you on hold for hours and they also tell you someone is going to call you back and they dont. As I type I am on hold waiting for a department they supposedly transferred me to. It has been an hour and a half and since they use overseas call centers I am guessing they transferred me to a black hole. So even though I purchased four LG products all in the same day I wouldnt recommend purchasing any of them because of the poor customer service. I realized we purchased the wrong style range and sent email after email trying to exchange with no response. So I finally called and got sent to a call center with a garbled line in another country. There was yelling and carrying on going on in the background. I explained to her that nobody would respond to my emails and she just kept telling me it was too late to exchange. Duh isnt that why they dont respond to emails? So now I have a range brand new in the box that I cannot exchange because it isnt possible to meet their exchange deadline because they dont respond.

This stove has really disappointed. After I had it for two years the oven stopped working right. I need to turn the oven all the way to the max 545 for it to cook something at 350. I have contacted LG. The names of the people they gave me to contact for help didnt have a clue what is wrong with it. I have used it like this for almost two years now and I am thinking of just buying a new one. Never an LG.

We had bought this range after we had bought our new house and after two months started experiencing issues with the burners. The igniter on one burner would continue to click even after putting the knob to off. Only way to get it to stop is to unplug the whole unit. After calling tech support no further action was taken on their end. No service tech was sent. Even after submitting an online request and talking to tech support.

Unreadable LCD Display renders oven useless.

Worked just great for a couple years. Now the LCD Display is completely out of whack and unreadable. I have practically new oven that is unusable. Despite this apparently being an incredibly widespread problem quick google search LG Support does NOTHING. My interactions with some of the support agents were sometimes shocking in how rude they were. Even the Presidential Liason team didnt follow up as promised and closed the case without even giving me a second to hear the situation. We have a kitchen full of LG products and wanted to love and support this company. Im afraid after this experience we are completely done. Id rather pay more for any other company out there if they cant stand by their products and fix well known defects. They are still selling this machine knowing itll break down right after the 1 year warranty is up Shameful and sad.

3 years in now Im spending $400 to replace the control panel which started failing right after year 1. If you buy this range be prepared to spend another couple of hundred dollars on repairs within a short time typically after the 1 year warranty runs out. This is clearly a manufacturing problem given the sheer number of complaints about the same issue. LG failed on this one. I regret buying this range.

Fine Stove Terrible Warranty / Service

The oven is a little over 2 years old and the digital clock is malfunctioning. Speaking with the service reps its going to cost us hundreds of dollars for a tech to come out and then even more money to repair. Its clearly a hardware issue with the product and I should not be spending over $500 to fix a stove that cost me $1000 only 2 years after purchasing it. Terrible. Do not buy LG as they do not stand behind their products.

Digital display issue: product warranty ?????

The range is fine.HOWEVER- The digital display isnt working properly and it flickers making the time and temperature setting a guessing game. The microwave is doing the same thing and its not an electrical issue its a product issue electrician in to test wires and install both. I have tried to get a hold of someone in cooperate to repair it with no telephone call back and no email back from several attempts. I also tried to go through the LG website to find a repair person and it came up no repair person in your area. So now I have a range with a digital display the doesnt work. Not happy considering we spent a crap load of money purchasing a range high end refrigerator over range microwave and dishwasher all together for our remodeled kitchen.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROCESS

The worst customer experience in my entire life - my oven broke in year 2 after 1 year warranty ran. I called customer service they charged $400 to send a third party out to fix it. They came out for less than 5 minutes and it took weeks to order the parts. I had to call multiple times - both LG and third party company. The service ticket was then closed without anyone ever repairing the oven. Made another round of calls. Finally they came out and fixed it but a day later it started malfunctioning and the oven would either error out or just turn on without anyone touching it. Another round of calls. They said they were ordering parts but its been 2+ weeks and nobody has come out nobody has called. Another round of calls.. feels like more of a Ponzi scheme to get customers money unfortunately.

Most amazing Oven

I brought this oven in January 2024 so I have had sometime to assess it: I am extremely pleased with it. The grill in the middle assist with being able to cook more food at one time. The even cooking of food is great. The air frying is a great added addition to the oven being able to cook healthy food without grease or oils. Ive baked cakes and was able to determine the heating to have them come out perfect.

This is the worst investment I have made. I tried using the air fryer it almost burnt my home down. I paid additional money for the basket as a separate purchase I only used once. Shortly after purchasing the digital clock went wonky on me I am still having to figure out the hieroglyphs shown on display. I cannot set my oven temp accurately since the panel is a complete piece of junk and displays on fragments and portions of the digital clock. I call customer service and they say oh yes its a defect but instead of paying to replace they want to charge me close to 1k to have serviced. That would defeat the purpose of the whole since the oven it self cost a little over that. The engineer consumer and quality departments in your company really didnt put much though on this or LG doesnt give a hoot about these attributes. Did I mention it is the most difficult oven/stove to clean. It streaks and the inside of oven is difficult to properly clean with commercial products. I have researched reviews on these issues and I think you all must be well aware of these problems. In conclusion I am stuck with a mediocre piece of garbage.

recently purchased the LG 5.8 CU FT. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Fan Convection Gas Range with Air Fry EasyClean and I couldnt be happier with my decision. Two-year-old stove not working and not being fixed

I bought the stove less than two years ago and now it wont heat. I also paid for a warranty which has been pretty much worthless so far. I have been waiting two months for a repair. I have called so many times today I was on hold for about 45 minutes at different increments. Havent been able to cook a meal in my stove for months.
